Promoting farmer based research for improved productivity of cereals in eastern uganda

Goal: Contribute to increased productivity of millet and sorghum for smallholder farmers in Eastern Uganda using farmer’s research network (FRNs) approach.

Objectives

1. Build the capacity of partners to engage in collaborative farmer driven research and innovation processes using FRN approaches.
2. Promote locally adapted sorghum and millet options among smallholder farmers in Amuria, Pallisa and Ngora districts.
3. Document and disseminate information on the FRN Model in Amuria, Pallisa and Ngora districts.

Target population: 1613 Farming households

Target districts: Pallisa, Amuria & Ngora
