Home Garden Scaling For Improved Nutrition and Income Report as at 30th November

Target districts: Kiryando and Mukono
Partners: AVRDC, USAID

  • To increase awareness of the nutritional importance of vegetables in attaining balanced diets among vulnerable groups( i.e. women, small holder farmers, youth and children) in the selected USAID Feed the Future horticulture target and spill over districts in Uganda.
  • To increase availability and supply of selected nutrient dense vegetables among the vulnerable groups selected.
  • To build the capacity of target groups in the use of productivity enhancing crop, water management and post harvest handling practices.
